The first part allows you to create sketches for display in the schedule. The second part generates rebar sketches as separate drawings for placement in project views. Sketches are generated as png graphic files. These additional files are located in a separate folder along with the project file. In this case, a rebar is sketched to show all of the bar sections and to ensure legibility of the sketch.

No additional action is required from the user. In this case, the sketch is created based on standard drawings. To get the result display the sketch in the schedule , you need to select the standard drawing in the type parameters – for the reinforcing bar shape.

For the formation of sketches, you can select the type and size of the font. For standard shapes, you can specify the maximum rebar length and overlap. In this case, the sketch is formed taking into account the number of bar segments with the maximum length. Reinforcement sketch is formed from lines, labels and tags. All components are combined into a group.

The group drawing can be placed on any project view. The sketch is created for: a single rebar, area reinforcement or a path reinforcement. Note: This app uses a custom installer and not the standard Autodesk App Store installer.

It is an amazing plugin, however I am having a recurring problem. When I create the sketch of the rebar in a view of some assembly, it gives the following error “Could not complete the external command”.

This does not happen when it is a view outside the assembly, a structural plan for example. I need to create the sketch outside the assembly and then copy it to the assembly view. In a large work it ends up becoming a very boring routine. Please send a project or a part of a project with a step-by-step description. We have not found any problems in sketching assemblies. I can see text only when I zoom in too much, how can I fix it? Everything is fine until I print there is an error. Revit crashes and asks to close the app. An option to hide the text would be nice. For instance in slabs, where reinforcement is shown in plan, it would help to present the reinforcement better.

I didn’t quite understand the question. All sketches are created using outside bar dimensions. Works ok, but I would like to have more options like choosing font size, font style of the dimension values. And why some values are in color?

What if I want to have my plans in black and white? As I said, more options would be great. For some shapes the numbers are too small compared to the rest of the fonts on the plan, and mostly I don’t have enough space to increase the cell size for the list to make it bigger.
