Hi CXP and welcome here! That is an interesting post. Got me to looking and reading. I researched it because I really love DSD files. Not that it applies to me, but you did say that in the future Audirvana would also be able to be used by Windows machines.

BUT I searched the site and was surprised that it says it can play DSD files, but does not specify which ones, up to what speed? And nothing at all is mentioned about multi-channel. This proved to be an exceptional purchase and really proved that not all USB interfaces are anywhere near equal – this provided a significant improvement to the really fine details. Your only denigrating PCM by converting it to dsd in real time with a dsd dac, better off getting the right dac to it with, get a good Multibit dac, which converts it “bit perfect”. I just want to try DSD.
